This loose-fitting diagonal granny stitch crochet top is flattering for all sizes and shapes, with scope for plenty of positive ease if desired and side slits make it even more desirable, it’s crocheted top down with an easy one row granny stitch repeat pattern.
Use self-striping yarn or do some stash busting and play with colours to make it unique, only a suggestion if you would like to use variegated yarn, break the colour-pooling by alternating your yarn colour every row this will not only look more interesting but it prevents those flames that certain variegated yarns can cause. Mark one self-striping yarn as MC ( main colour ) and another as CC ( contrasting colour ) and alternate.
